The Beecroft Building

Following on from previous successful collaborations between CG Reynolds, Laing O’Rourke and the University of Oxford, The Beecroft Building is the latest project accomplished in this long standing relationship.

Spread out over 10 levels, including 4 below ground forming the deepest basement in Oxford, CG Reynolds undertook the dry lining, ceilings & screeding on the new £50million Physics Department. With the aim of being one of the industry leading theoretical & experimental physics centres in the world, this means that attention to detail was of great importance throughout this project. The Beecroft Building is designed to facilitate the Universities research into quantum science & technology, therefore the requirement for stabilised & acoustically controlled environments was paramount. Through the deep-rooted relationship between ourselves & the clients, the challenge to achieve such a highly detailed finish was succesfully navigated. Not only was the project both within budget & on time, it is also visually stunning as was once again recognised by the RIBA.
